Labour Thanks Giving Day in JAPAN! – Japanese Holiday –

I understand that it is Thanks Giving Day today but in Japan it is “Labour Thanks Giving Day”!
“Labour Thanks Giving Day” is a national holiday and it is
“For people who work, appreciate each other’s work”.

Since Japan is an agriculture country,
Japan had a custom of thanking harvest to God.
It started from Asuka period(592~710).

The meaning is close to Thanks Giving Day but a bit different!

My second wedding anniversary!

My husband gave me two roses for our second wedding anniversary!
My husband, my daughter and I went to Italian restaurant for to celebrate.

By the way, in Japan, not many guys give flowers to the female.
They are a bit shy… how is it in your country?
